Raghoo Sinha of Allahabad, the reigning champion of Uttar Pradesh. This event of billiards will start on dec 3 at the morning and will be followed by the snooker event.

The billiards event include about 12 selected players from six zones of the country — Agra, Allahabad, Aligarh, Meerut, Moradabad and Lucknow, in which there are three seeded players besides the nine qualifiers who emerged from the zones where the qualifying tourneys concluded on the August 25.

The ranking tournament will be played in a professional league of 3 players each in 4 selective teams, the top four then playing on a knock-out basis from the semi-final stage to decide the levels.

The referees officiating in the week long billiards and snooker competition are IS Malik ( national referee) and Lucknow’s seasoned official Kirti Khanna with Raghoo Sinha of the hosts, the Chief organiser of the show.

Group 1: Raghoo Sinha (state player), Naeem Mohammad (Moradabad), Paras Gupta (Agra)

Group 2: Nittin Kohli (state player), Rahul Arora (Moradabad), Manish Behl (Aligarh)

Group 3: Abhishek Raj (state player), Daanish Azeem (Moradabad), Prateek Gopal Sharma (Meerut)

Group 4: Nishit Prakash (Meerut), Ravi Kapoor (Moradabad), Anuj Bhargava.
